In the middle of downtown Vancouver there is a free outdoor skate rink and amidst all the holiday madness we spent and afternoon there with my sister, and my niece Sybil and nephew Sullivan.  I usually avoid places like this around the holidays but was glad we made an exception – the kids loved going round and round the rink with the help of their blue walkers under the multi coloured lights.

I don’t skate so I was happy to sit on the sidelines and let my sister and Court do all the work.

How’s this for festive faces?
